The Modified Starbucks Sleeve Gallery

The Modified Starbucks Sleeve Gallery
The coffee sleeve was invented in 1972 by Mortimer Tragelli. Most people don't realize that the coffee sleeve is a spin-off of NASA's space shuttle program. The original mechanism for getting the shuttle to safely endure re-entry was essentially a giant coffee sleeve, although it wouldn't be known by that term until early 2005, when Starbucks purchased the rights to the technology. Now you can't get away from the coffee sleeve, no matter how hard you try!

Before Starbucks introduced this new craze, it was hard times for coffee drinkers, whose hands were almost constantly covered with painful, oozing blisters. Now, thanks to the fresh perspective of the folks at The Ole 'Bucks, those days are over. All you have to do is slip a sweet little coffee sleeve over that baby, and BLAZUP! No more blisters!

In honor of Christmas and of Starbucks (but mostly Starbucks), I proudly present to you this gallery of Starbucks holiday sleeves, each one hand modified by Geoff and I.
